Thoughts to think about

Loving our neighbors is doing our Lord, Jesus Christ’s work. When we love our neighbors, we represent Jesus Christ and act as his agent to watch over, care for, support, and strengthen them.

I received an email about building relationships in the workplace. So, I thought this information could lead to solving the ills of sociality. I thought, how can this be applied in our lives outside work?

To begin with, we need to seek our Lord’s guidance, then we need to listen to the prompting of his Spirit and act upon the promptings. Because we are all spiritual children of God and each of us are unique, building a lasting relationship should be led by the Spirit.

Second, we need to do simple acts of kindness. We don’t have to do anything heroic. Often, it is the simplest acts of service and kindness that can have lasting effects on our neighbors.

Getting to know our neighbors  individually. We can start by learning about who they are, caring about them, and also where there is a family, get them involved as well. Since we were on the Lord’s errand, include them in our prayers.

There is no other motive to this besides loving our neighbors and being obedient to our Lord, our Savior, and our Redeemer to love one another as he has loved us.

Building relationships with those around us will help them overcome feelings of loveliness, depression, anxiety, and fear. Just be yourself and follow the directions of Jesus Christ to love one another; we will have an increase of joy in our lives.

Third, as we seek our Heavenly Father’s assistance in getting to know our neighbors, we need to pray for inspiration, for how we can best serve them. As we build these relationships with our neighbors, we can influence them for the good.
