Thoughts to think about

How do I just walk away and leave without a word? While you stand there and watch me leave.

How could I leave the path shown to me over the years because of misunderstandings or hurt feelings? When you’re the only one who truly knows me at all while I’m living in this state of guilt and seclusion.

How do I just walk away? When you allow me to make this choice. Since we shared your joy as I followed your path. We also shared the pain and tears as I chose my own way.

So take a look at me now. There’s just an empty space. There’s nothing left inside of me. Except for a slight memory of what I once felt.

I wish I could just turn around and admit how wrong I have been. There’s only one who can stop this pain. I wish I would just turn around and feel your joy again.

Take a good look at me as I repent and seek forgiveness. Cause of your love for me, you sent your only begotten Son to take away my stains as I sought forgiveness my faults.

Now, I just turned around towards the joy that you have sent. Take a look at me now free to bask in your love. Given freely to all who turns back towards you, including me.

Take a look at me now, happy, joyful, and filled with peace.
