Poise in Trials

I desire to have my behavior demonstrate a clam confidence in times of trials. As the Lord did upon the sea of Galilee, by calming the storm.

I’d love to have grace and peace while I go through the trials I am called to face. I know it is better to trust the Lord than to put confidence in man.

I seldom bear witness of the Savior’s love in my life and the many miracles he’s performed for me and my love ones. I would love to be able to speak like Paul when he bore his testimony to King Agrippa.

A foolish man, which I have been, I rage and am confident in my own opinions. A wise man, which I desire to be, I will fear and depart from evil.

In the love of the Lord is strong confidence; and I will have a place of refuge. The love of the Lord is the fountain of life, so I will depart from the snares of death as I follow the promtings I receive.

Still, the natural man is an enemy of God, of which I have been given a greater portion of, and has been since the fall of Adam. I need to put on the ‘Armor of Christ’.

I need to search the Holy Scriptures with quiet and thoughtful prayer. I need to learn his words and live them all my days.
