Even so, faith, if it hath not works is dead, being alone. James 2:17 part 7 of 7

There was a daughter who made the decision that it was time to leave home because she felt that home was too restrictive. She wanted to be free, to live her life the way she wanted to.

So, she left home using a scorched earth method, thus breaking her parents’ hearts on her way out. Her parents became extremely worried and concerned about her situation when they hadn’t heard from her for several weeks.

One evening, her parents gathered the family together for family prayer. In this prayer, it was asked of their Heavenly Father to let them know where their daughter was, who she was with, what her financial situation was, and how she was doing.

After concluding the prayer, as the family was separating, the phone rang. The girl’s father answered the call. When he hung up, he told the family that the call was about their daughter.

The caller told him of their daughter’s well-being, about the group of friends she was with, and that she had the financial means to support herself for a few more days.

This family had demonstrated their faith by  approaching their Heavenly Father with their concerns about their daughter.

Faith usually requires patience.

Faith does require a belief that our Heavenly Father is aware of our concerns and will act on our behalf, accordingly to his will.

When we humble ourselves and seek to do his will by keeping his commandments and seeking his assistance in all our daily act vities. Our faith strengthens and grows.

As a result of this action, their Heavenly Father answered their prayer through prompting a person who had the information they were seeking. The individual chose to act upon the prompting to find the girl’s family’s phone number and call them so their worries would be eased.
